Criterion for applicants seeking admission to PG Courses in Bengali and History.

1. Three year Honours Graduate of the current year 2016 in the respective subjects from any recognized University. Passed out Honours Graduates of the year 2016 may also apply.

2. Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit.

4. Admission to P.G. Courses in Bengali & History (Session 2017-2019)
Important Dates:

    • A) Submission of online application and online payment of application fees Commences on and from:                                                                                       24/06/2017.
    • B) Date of publication of the provisional 1st merit list (from the candidates who applied upto 16/07/17):                                      17/07/2017.
    • C) Date of verification of documents of the candidates appeared in the 1st merit list:                                 18/07/2017 &   19/07/2017.
    • D) Date of provisional admission of the candidates whose documents are checked and verified on 18/07/2017 & 19/07/2017            :              18/07/2017, 19/07/2017 & 20/07/2017.
    • E) Date of publication of second merit list (who applied upto 28/07/2017 provided seats are available): 29/07/2017.
    • F) Date of Verification of the documents of the Candidates appeared in the second merit list:                 31/07/2017 & 01/08/2017.
    • G) Date of provisional admission of the candidates whose documents are checked and verified on 31/07/2017 & 01/08/2017           :             31/07/2017, 01/08/2017 & 02/08/2017.

    5. Rules and regulations regarding P.G Courses are followed by the Calcutta University guidelines: ( see w.w.w. Caluniv.ac.in)

    6. Documents required at the time of admission (for verification):

    i) University Registration Certificate (candidates from Calcutta University). Candidates from other universities (other than Calcutta University) should submit their registration certificate at the time of admission and Migration certificate from respective universities within one month of their admission, otherwise his/her admission will be treated as cancelled.

    ii)Mark-sheet of three year Honours Graduate.

    iii) Age Proof Certificate.

    iv) Caste Certificate (if required).

    v) Domicile Certificate (For SC/ST/OBC-A & B candidates from the states other than West Bengal)

    Note:- (Self attested Photocopy of the above mentioned documents are to be submitted at the time of admission)

    * All admissions are provisional until approved by the competent authority.
