Department of Commerce

The Commerce Department commenced its journey from 11th August 1969 with General course only. From 1972, the Department started the Honours course in Accountancy. It is presently the largest, most efficient and dynamic department of the College. It is also the financial powerhouse with about five hundred students getting admitted per Semester. Apart from Academics, our students excel in sports, crafts, music, dance, drawing and other disciplines.
Commerce Department has successfully placed a substantial number of students in diverse private organisations, including banks, BPO companies, insurance institutions, and audit firms. Consequently, our department witnesses huge influx of admission applications, exceeding the available seats by threefold.
