Mr. Aakash Shaw is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Vivekananda College, Kolkata. He has completed his Post Graduation and is also pursuing his Ph.D from the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of University of Calcutta. He has been UGC (NET) Junior Research Fellow at the University of Calcutta till September, 2016. He has been an International Delegate to the World Conference on Youth – 2014 organized by the United Nations Organization in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has received the University of Calcutta Convocation Gold Medal Award for Outstanding performance in academics and social service. His research paper was awarded the Best Paper in the 3rd All India Media Educators Conference in 2018.
Earlier worked as a Faculty and taught Undergraduate Courses in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of T.H.K. Jain College and New Alipore College, Kolkata. He has also taught Post Graduation Courses in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Calcutta.
With a passion for both academic inquiry and international dialogue, Mr. Shaw continues to undertake crucial Research problems and thereby published 11 Research articles, commentaries and reviews in UGC CARE listed and Peer reviewed Journals and 4 book chapters in several edited volumes. He is also associated with few Higher Educational Institutions for several academic endeavours.
